Money Brings More Problems Than Comfort – Akon

The music executive stated this in a radio interview as he lamented about the challenges associated with having money.

According to the ‘Lonely’ hitmaker, money does not necessarily buy happiness as it largely depends on what makes one happy.

Akon also stated that people who have money do not have time as it makes you lose yourself and takes you away from your family.

He further explained that since money makes people unable to find time for their family, then that is no comfort.

Akon said, “Money brings you more problems than it brings comfort. You lose yourself. You can’t find time for your family. That’s no comfort.”

Meanwhile, the ‘Locked Up’ hit maker also said that singer and music executive, Davido is the hardest working artiste amongst his peers.

He shared his thoughts on the qualities and influence of the leading Nigerian Afrobeats musicians that sets them apart from other artistes in the genre.

In an interview with American media personality, Sway Calloway on Sirius XM Satellite Radio, Akon said that he loves how Burna Boy is moving at the moment.

The music executive talked about Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido being the three biggest Afrobeats stars that are rose to the top through their unique talents and work.

He said Davido is the hardest working artiste among the bunch because when he came on the scene, he was the underdog so he had to prove himself.

The ‘Right Now’ crooner explained that OBO was able to secure a spot for himself with the help of his parents which he used to release records back to back at short intervals.

He said the DMW boss prioritized quantity over quality and it worked for him as opposed to his counterparts who used other strategies to success.
